LA LISTA DE NOMINADOS A LOS GAME AWARDS 2019

El año está llegando a su fin y no podemos negar la gran cantidad de títulos y propuestas que pasaron por nuestras manos, volcándonos a preguntarnos: ¿Cuál es el mejor juego del año? ¿Qué juego merece el premio al mejor Indie? Así cómo el de poder resaltar a las figuras que le dan forma a esta grandiosa industria de los videojuegos.

La próxima edición de The Game Awards, llegará para responder esas incógnitas y de paso celebrar lo mejor de los videojuegos del 2019, pero primero conoceremos de qué tratará el evento de este año y obviamente a los nominados.

El tema central de este año será el de honrar el acto de la creación, mientras vamos conociendo a los ganadores y las desarrolladoras aprovecharán el escenario para presentarnos avances de juegos que veremos en algún momento de 2020. Una vez más Geoff Keighley se encargará de producir y conducir el magno evento, el cual año con año mejora en producción y calidad.

Haciendo un pequeño retroceso, podemos recordar que God of War, el título exclusivo de PlayStation 4 desarrollado por Santa Monica, se llevó el premio de la noche, mientras que en 2017 el galardón fue para The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, mostrando la gran variedad en los juegos elegidos por la prensa especializada; inclusive si vamos más atrás, en los primeros años del evento tuvimos ganadores de la talla de Overwatch, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt y Dragon Age: Inquisition. Así que cualquiera puede ganar o dar la sorpresa.

En esta ocasión el contendiente con más nominaciones es Death Stranding, el ambicioso juego de Kojima Productions, el cual ha recibido críticas mixtas pero su innegable calidad y propuestas le ha otorgado el recibir 10 nominaciones en distintas categorías, siendo el juego al que más premios aspira. Cómo dato esclarecedor, el juego de Super Smash Bros. Ultimate entra a la contienda por haberse estrenado durante el mes de diciembre del año pasado, lo cual no le permitió ser tomado en Game Awards de tal año; este mismo motivo ha afectado a Pokémon Sword and Shield y a Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, orillándolos a quedar fuera porque las candidaturas tuvieron que enviarse antes de sus lanzamientos.
