De Get Out a Legally Blonde: los mejores 101 guiones del siglo XXI

El Sindicato de Guionistas de Estados Unidos publicó un listado con los 101 mejores guiones del cine que se han escrito en el siglo XXI, donde Get Out de Jordan Peele, obtuvo el primer lugar, coronándose así como la película con el mejor guion de los últimos 21 años. Esta cinta de suspenso marcó el exitoso debut de Peele como director; además fue premiada con el Oscar al mejor guion original en su año de estreno. Contó con un presupuesto de 4.5 millones de dólares y ha logrado recaudar más de 252 millones de dólares en todo el mundo.

En la lista anterior (los mejores guiones de cine del siglo XX), las películas clásicas sobre mujeres, como Sunset Boulevard o All About Eve, todavía eran narradas por hombres; en esta ocasión, hay aproximadamente 30 guionistas mujeres, lo que supone un 30 por ciento del listado. Otra situación destacable es el hecho de que siete de las cintas elegidas son animadas, lo que abre paso a más diversidad de contenidos.

En el listado, destacan los hermanos Joel y Ethan Coen y Christopher Nolan, con cuatro títulos cada uno; con tres irrumpen Paul Thomas Anderson, Quentin Tarantino y Alfonso Cuarón. A excepción de este último, todos los mencionados son parte del top 10, gracias a No Country for Old Men (5°), Memento (10°) There Will Be Blood (7°) e Inglourious Basterds (8°). Pixar no entra en el top 10 pero sí logra establecer una posición dominante con seis largometrajes: Inside Out (29°), Up (33°), Wall-E (2009), Toy story 3 (44°), The Incredibles (48°), Finding Nemo (60°) y Ratatouille (95°). Además, las comedias no se quedan afuera, mediante cintas como Bridesmaids (12°), Mean Girls (34°) y Legally Blonde (100°). Aquí la lista completa:
